'True Blood' Casts Were-panthers, wolves
HBO's True Blood has recently cast the roles of Alcide and Crystal, both prominent -panther/wolf characters in Charlaine Harris's Sookie Stackhouse Series books. This must mean that the new season will begin developing the story lines Harris explored within the Were world. I like how True Blood only uses certain aspects of Harris's plots because I found the books to be a bit underdeveloped. There was TOO MUCH going on within the books and so many opportunities to explore plots that were only touched upon and then left to wither and die. However, I do hope that this season will leave in the Sookie/Eric dynamic that is prevalent in the books. (Shower scene...HELLO???)

I disagree. Charlaine Harris, not Harrison, wrote a totally developed world with complex characters, while Alan Ball is focusing his characterizations on the parts of his characters that will get then nude. Eric in the book is totally deeper than his tv counterpart has been to this point. Bill is a pansey. And if Crystal Norris, the werePanther, was cast almost side-along with Alcide, AB is probably moving into book 4 and later storylines much much sooner.
