Alli Shearmur from Lionsgate is listening to the fans and is quoted in the article as saying that "some of the actresses who fans have identified as the best potential Katniss are being considered." Smart move,Lionsgate! Movie makers should know how opinionated and passionate fans of a book can be when their beloved characters are going to be projected onto the big screen. Here's to hoping they make the right choice...we can't find out the official cast list soon enough!

ReplyDeleteI am not sure I was picturing those two for Haymitch, but I vote Robert Downey, Jr over Hugh Laurie.
Kaya is perfect for katniss and for peeta it should be Lucas Till.

ReplyDeleteI kind of like Emma Watson as Katniss. She is twenty, but has a young face and a great intensity. She'd have to darken her hair and skin a bit, but I think she'd be awesome.

I'm not sure about the 2 choices for Gale but I'm siding with Drew based on looks. He kinda has to look like Katniss.

ReplyDeleteGale should be played as Sean Faris, no doubt about it. As for Peeta, Hunter Parrish will do quite well. Kaya Scodelario is a great choice for Katniss.

ReplyDeleteI agree and like all the choices. most of them I think are spot on except for Peeta...although they are good picks I think Austin Butler would be a better fit for the part...but thats my opinion(he just seemed to come to mind when i read the books) :)

I dont really agree with Kaya.. I think she looks too old personally. I like Seychelle Gabriel or a complete unknown - so the fans can feel like the actors their own, like the twilight actors
ReplyDeleteEh, neither of the choices for Katniss impress me. They're too tough looking. Katniss is tough but she also has a softness and a beauty to her that even she doesn't realise is there.

Kaya should definitely be Katniss, my favourite! :D I'm not sure the choices for Peeta are Peeta D: In fact, one of them looks more like Gale lol. Very un-Peeta.
